The first shovel
Lindebjerg Design was founded in 2011 by Mona Henriksen. From her interior shop, Portobello, in Copenhagen, the first steps were taken to what is today a furniture universe of showcases and tables based on Nordic inspired design, crafts and traditions.
Nordic furniture trend
The interior shop dealt with Danish brands, which were beautifully combined with oriental figures from the mystic of the East to French vintage furniture. A furniture trend that marked itself in the ’00s and still characterizes the Scandinavian interior style.
Carefully selected colors
In 2010, Mona Henriksen started a smaller production of showcases. It was a huge success among customers and soon the store was filled with cabinets of various sizes. The colors for the showcases were carefully selected to match the Nordic cool color palette.
Timeless classics for Europe
Interest grew and found its way into interior magazines and stylists. Mona’s daughter Annemarie Lindebjerg joined the company and runs the PR and Marketing function. In 2011, the company got its name; Lindebjerg Design. The family company, Lindebjerg Design is today known for providing classic and timeless furniture that is classified as a High End product. Both showcases and tables are sold in most of Europe.
